A Tribute to J-1, Ruffles, missing since late November 2010
Last week the Center for Whale Research announced they have not had any sightings of Ruffles, J-1 since late November 2010. J pod has been sighted throughout the Winter but no sign of Ruffles. I have spent allot of time watching Ruffles and always marveled at his size, strength and sense of purpose. My hope is Ruffles is in another area away from J pod feeding on his favorite food, Chinook salmon, and will show up again in the Spring. He is like family to us and will be missed very much.
